General (un)loading agreements:
- All shipments for Steenderen 'frozen' must be registered via the dock planning
- Minimum pre-registration time is 1.5 hours
- Being on time is important: on time is from a quarter of an hour before to half an hour after the registered dock planning time
- If you are on site between 0-2 hours before your registered time, you can go to the porter for coffee, a sanitary stop and safety instructions
There is no point in coming to Aviko earlier due to the limited number of parking positions
- Access to the site and dock is only granted when loading/unloading is possible
- Communication with Supervisors only via Google Translate app (porter) or verbally at the desk
- Drivers and employees of Aviko speak Dutch and or a minimum of English and/or German
- Drivers wear safety shoes in the expedition area, a signaling vest and have the trailer interior lighting on during loading/unloading
- Drivers are expected to get coffee after loading/unloading and receipt of shipping documents.
It is not permitted to consume coffee in between (un)loading unless we have a malfunction in the Coldstore that lasts longer than 20 minutes (will be indicated by the supervisor)
- If the driver is too late, he/she must contact his planner who will request a new available time slot via the Transport department
- Carriers must coordinate the driver's route with the Transport department.
In this way, pallets arrive on the pickup/dropping point in the expedition area in the desired order for the driver
- Drivers (un)load themselves (excl. export containers, shipping type CO) and are in possession of an EPT (electrical pallet truck) certificate
Remarks:
Aviko uses these agreements for effective planning and an optimally safe working environment for drivers and our own employees.
It helps reducing unnecessary delays during loading and unloading in our warehouse.
This makes our incoming and outgoing flow smoother and optimizes dock occupancy.
We also try to minimize waiting times so we can work together more efficiently.
For this reason, please understand that Aviko Supervisors are expected to work in accordance with these agreements and will refer to this in the event of questions from carriers and drivers.
